Phillips Group is researching farmers’ experiences planning for drought, including farm business resilience plans. The research involves talking with primary producers to understand their views on and experiences with drought planning, as part of farm management planning and as a general process.  We want to hear from primary producers who have and have not created farm management plans.

We are seeking 70 primary producers from across Queensland to participate in a 90-minute interview at a location convenient for the participants.  If you’re one of the 70 people chosen to participate in the interviews, you will receive $200 for your time and efforts.

To register your interest, complete the below research nomination form. After submitting your form, one of our team will be in contact to discuss the next steps.

Frequently Asked Questions

Phillips Group is keen to understand the experiences of primary producers who have and have not written a farm management plan for drought. During the interview, you will be asked about your views on:

  • How you plan for drought now and in the past
  • The benefits of creating a farm business resilience plan
  • The process of creating a plan
  • How the process of creating a plan can be improved
  • The barriers to creating a plan
  • Other ideas on drought planning you find work for you

Your experiences and views on farm management plans are important and will help shape future support services for drought and climate resilience and farm management planning. Increasing drought resilience puts primary producers in a stronger position to achieve their business and lifestyle goals and strengthens the whole industry.

If you’re one of the 70 people chosen to participate in the interviews, you will receive $200 for your time and efforts.

We’re looking for primary producers from across Queensland who have a plan for drought, whether it’s written down or not, and producers who may not have a plan at all.

If Phillips Group receives more than 70 nominations, an online survey will be released to capture the additional feedback.
